TITLE:WAITING
FORMAT:OIL ON CARDBOARD
YEAR:2016
SIZE:49x35 centímeters
COMMENT FROM THE ARTIST:
"This painting conveys a certain candidness, but at the same time the gesture of the hands, the gaze and the frame itself generates a feeling of tension. This tension is underlined by the contrast between the relaxed position of the feet and the contortion of the hands, and also by the soft colors that predominate at the top (pink and blue) and the contrast of the floor, with more energetic brushstrokes and that again combines dark tones (green) and white brushstrokes. The set is expressive and allows us to imagine or evoke something that happens outside the frame, allowing the observer to imagine the rest of the story, but the simplicity and even rudeness or contradiction of the unfinished chair again generates a new contrast that reinforces the feeling of fragility of the protagonist"
