TITLE: THE BATHER
FORMAT:WATERCOLOR ON CARDBOARD
YEAR:APPROXIMATELY 2000 (WORK WITHOUT DATE)
SIZE: 50x35 centimeters
ARTIST COMMENT:
"This watercolor is perhaps one of the author's works in which less external influence is observed. It uses some effects such as veiling to suggest a set of lights. The gaze of the female figure expresses at the same time as if he were posing and also as if he wanted to finish posing, in a shy and defiant attitude. In this work, the author manages to combine with a very synthetic and minimalist work a great expressive capacity, and the figure captures the feminine essence while being extremely synthetic and simple.
Note: The top of the bikini is a later digital addition that does not exist in the original work.
