TITLE: WOMAN AND SEASHELL
FORMAT:OLEO ON CANVAS
YEAR:2008
SIZE: 46x38 centimeters
ARTIST COMMENT:
"This painting offers an original vision that combines three recurring elements at this time: the woman, the sea and a chair, combined with the natural element of the conch, less frequent. The posture of the shoulders and the gaze directed at a low point, suggest a moment of peace, relaxation and thought, but the outline of the face recalls at the same time far from expressionism, especially in details such as the hands or the yellow wall, which give some tension that part of the picture as opposed to the quiet sea in the background. The female figure, although naked, is drawn with a perfect balance between what is shown, the suggested and the hidden, achieving an evocative, suggestive and high-quality synthetic composition."
